Diversity + Inclusion :
Gender Pronouns

At SB Architects, we pride ourselves on our equitable and inclusive culture, we want our team to have the freedom to bring their whole, authentic selves to work. Our success is built on its friendly, down-to-earth, and collaborative culture, where ideas flow freely and everyone feels valued and encouraged to shine, allowing room for innovation and growth.

As part of our ongoing commitment to creating a safe, diverse, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all, we will continue to champion and amplify queer voices, creating a work environment where everyone can thrive. One way we hope to achieve this is to endorse the use of gender pronouns throughout SB Architects.

What are Gender Pronouns?

Gender pronouns are the integration and clarification of one’s preferred gender pronoun (i.e. she/her, he/him, they/them).

Why do we use them?

Using gender pronouns is incredibly important.

Often, people use pronouns with an implied gender – such as “he” to refer to a man/boy or “she” to refer to a woman/girl, these are an assumption and can be inaccurate. Misgendering a person can be hurtful, using someone’s preferred pronouns is a sign of respect, it normalizes the use of pronouns and creates an inclusive, safe environment for everyone to shine.
