Getting Social at The Estate

December 11, 2019

Tucked amid the lush vineyards of Yountville, The Social, a 4000-square-foot Napa-chic farmhouse event space, is the newest milestone in The Estate’s extensive renovation.

The Social boasts incredible views of the inspiring ridgeline beyond and sliding walls open onto an impeccably landscaped lawn and private courtyard with flowing water and fire features alongside gardens with locally indigenous plants. With its indoor fireplace and a generous amount of space in a barn-like setting, The Social fulfils the desired flow between the two newly renovated properties on The Estate; Hotel Villagio and Vintage House; designed for connecting, collaborating, and celebrating.

Last night, the champagne flowed freely to toast the grand opening of The Social as it officially welcomed its first guests. As a symphony orchestra set the scene, famed Barbeque Chef, Adam Perry Lang sliced, diced and served a delicious menu of pit-cooked smoked brisket shaved thin and served with pickles, to eager guests.

Bruce Wiles; Managing Partner of Real Estate, Brookfield Asset Management Inc; welcomed and toasted the brand-new event space: “I told the guys, look, I really want something that befits Yountville and what we’re doing with the rest of the property, and this is what they gave me, and I’m just so thrilled for Yountville, the property, the staff, and everybody involved, it turned out much better than I could have ever imagined, it’s just wonderful.”

A group from SB Architects attended the evening, including one of The Social’s lead designers, EunJoo Cho, who was thrilled to see the event space so animated: “When walking the site during construction, the space was full of construction materials and workers, and I was entirely focused on the design details and making sure the architectural design was perfect. However, yesterday at The Social’s grand opening party, I was fascinated to see the event space being used the way we always imagined. The Social was bustling and full of guests, food, drinks and live music. You could see how much the guests were enjoying the space and how much they appreciated our design. It’s incredibly rewarding to see this project flourish from concept to completion!”

As the sun was setting and the grand opening drew to a close, guests were privy to an intimate performance from five-time Emmy nominated, Skylar Grey!

A perfect end, to a perfect evening.
